Bei dem AlNiCo-Magneten handelt es sich um den ältesten der verfügbaren Dauermagnet-Werkstoffe. Seine äußerst geringe Koerzitivfeldstärke fordert besondere Beachtung bei der Dimensionierung und macht ihn leicht entmagnetisierbar durch Gegenfelder. Seine Stärke liegt hingegen in seiner Einsatzfähigkeit bei Temperaturen bis zu 500°C. Sein ausgezeichneter Temperaturkoeffizient macht ihn zum bevorzugten Werkstoff z.B. für Messinstrumente und -geräte, durch seine chemische Zusammensetzung ist eine Oberflächenbeschichtung nicht notwendig in der Normalatmosphäre.

HOHE REMANENZ UND TEMPERATURBESTÄNDIGKEIT AINiCo-Magnete sind eine Legierung aus Aluminium, Nickel, Cobalt, Eisen, Kupfer und Titan. Die Herstellung dieser Permanentmagnete erfolgt durch Gießen oder Sintern. Sie sind in axialer Richtung vorzugsgerichtet und können nur in dieser Richtung magnetisiert werden

Samarium-Cobalt-Magnete zählen wie die Neodym-Magnete zu den Seltenerdmagneten. Hergestellt werden die Magneten in zwei Legierungstypen: SmCo5: 36% Samariumanteil Sm2Co17: 25% Smariumanteil und Eisen: bis 18% und Kuper: bis 12% Aufgrund eines niedrigen reversiblen Temperaturkoeffizienten sind die SmCo-Magnete sehr temperaturunempfindlich, max Einsatztemperatur bis 250°C (SmCo5) und bis 350°C (Sm2Co17) sind somit gegeben. Ebenso erreicht wird ein Energieprodukt von ca. 260 kJ7m³. Die Samarium-Kobalt-Magnete sind recht widerstandsfähig gegen entmagnetisierende Felder und müssen nicht gegen Korrosion geschützt werden. Ihr Nachteil zu den Neodym-Magneten ist wohl der höhere Preis, bedingt durch das aufwendige Herstellungsverfahren und der Materialknappheit der verwendeten Rohstoffe.

Kunststoffgebundene NdFeB-Magnete werden mittels Kompression aus einem Gemisch von NdFeB-Pulver und Kunstharz in Formwerkzeugen erzeugt. Dabei lassen sich komplexe Formen erstellen. Die magnetischen Werte liegen beim Press-Verfahren im Vergleich zum Spritzguss-Verfahren höher. Der magnetische Anteil fällt bei letzterem Verfahren geringer aus. Die gebundenen Magnete erreichen sehr hohe Formtoleranzen, so dass ein weiterer Formgebungsprozess entfallen kann. Dabei werden allgemeine Toleranzen von ±0,1 mm eingehalten.

Die wesentlichen Rohstoffe für AlNiCo-Magnete sind Eisen, Aluminium (~9%), Nickel (~13%) und Kobalt (~24%). Außerdem werden verschiedene andere Elemente zugemischt. Man unterscheidet zwei Herstellverfahren: Gießen oder Sintern. Die folgenden Schritte werden angewandt: Rohmaterial – Mischen – Schmelzen – Gießen - Wärmebehandlung – Testen – Bearbeitung der Oberfläche – Magnetisierung – Endprüfung. Der fertige Magnet ist sehr hart und kann nur mit Diamantwerkzeugen oder durch erodieren bearbeitet werden. AlNiCo-Magnete zeichnen sich durch gute Korrosionsbeständigkeit aus. AlNiCo-Magnete haben einen sehr geringen (negativen) Temperaturkoeffizienten und können bei Temperaturen von -250 bis +500°C eingesetzt werden. Die Remanenz von AlNiCo-Magneten liegt, je nach Legierung zwischen ca. 0,70 Tesla und 1,2 Tesla. Die Remanenz ist damit der von NdFeB-Magneten vergleichbar. Allerdings ist die Koerzitiv-Feldstärke mit 50 - 150 kA/m etwa um den Faktor 10 kleiner als bei NdFeB-Magneten. AlNiCo-Magnete sind auch als kunststoffgebundene Magnete verfügbar.

Surface coating is necessary to protect NdFeB against corrosive atmosphere. 6 NdFeB has the larger temperature coefficients of the remanent magnetization (Br) and the coercivity (Hcj) than SmCo magnets. A careful consideration for working temperature and permeance is required on designing fabrication processes of a magnetic circuit for a full utilization of NdFeB’s high performance. NdFeB with high coercivities are large as 35KOe has been developed to offer an improved stability at high temperatures. 7 High price/performance ratio; the strongest attractive force. 8 Lower temperature coefficient: the routine NdFeB magnet’s temperature coefficient (βHcj) is -0.6%/℃, to improve this, we have developed the temperature coefficient (βHcj) -0.5%/℃ to make NdFeB have good stability of temperature, and then could be applied into more fields. weight: 9.53g

Kunststoffgebundene SmCo-Magnete werden aus zermahlenem SmCo-Magnetmaterial und Kunstharz erzeugt. Zur Formgebung werden die Magnete im Spritzguss- oder Formpressverfahren weiterverarbeitet. Dabei erzielen die erzeugten Magnete höchste Formtoleranzen, so dass ein weiterer Formgebungsprozess entfällt. An sich haben diese Magnete selbst einen relativ hohen korrosiven Widerstand zu Umwelteinflüssen. Die Remanenz von SmCo-Magneten liegt, je nach Legierung zwischen ca. 0,40 Tesla und 0,80 Tesla. Sie ist damit etwa halb so hoch wie die von NdFeB-Magneten. Allerdings ist die Koerzitiv-Feldstärke mit 400 - 880 kA/m etwa um den Faktor 3 kleiner als bei NdFeB-Magneten. SmCo-Magnete haben einen geringen (negativen) Temperaturkoeffizienten und können bei Temperaturen bis +250°C eingesetzt werden.
